During the spring
of 2005 David Greenberger visited meal sites around East
L.A. recording conversations with more than two dozen elderly residents
of Los Angeles. Many of those stories are part of the radio
project, Growing Old in East L.A. and
many more will be used in forthcoming radio pieces. Most will also appear in the
periodical, The Duplex Planet. Here are some of the stories
